Finally after a tutorial my lecturer recommended that I come up with a series of photograph instead of just one piece.

This time I was told to focus on the piece with the paint of the mirror edited onto the image but to change the environment.

The idea that came to me this time was to illustrate the sort of... life style of someone in the extreme scene going into public places and taking selfies. Actually I used my phone instead of a camera since I thought that it will represent that idea of a life style more than a camera. Since most of these extreme models are scene through high quality photography, with some even processed.

Because I was planning to add the painting that will hide my face later on, I didn't bothered doing any makeup, but still just in case after taking a selfie, I took the pic of the area I was at in the exact same perspective just in case I might need to shoot myself again and add the new me on top on this environment.

I tried my best not to smile, but fuck... I'm such a smiling person and I fucked it up... and I also forgot to take the pic of 2 environments I was at.

............Anyway........

To make things more interesting I didn't simply paint on my mirror. I did some experimentations.

After painting over the mirror, I stick a piece of paper on top and tried to capture the details that comes up. I actually wanted to obtain a more... crispy structure over the face.

P.S. I'm so lucky that the owner of my apartment won't get to see this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

After that, I've scanned them using Adobe Scanner on my phone and processed them a bit through photoshop to make it more crispy like I wanted it and removed the background.

Time to correct that hideous smile of mine... I took a few selfies of myself, focusing on my mouth and trying to look angry. Still using my phone since the image quality have to match each other.

Goodbye dear smile...

It looks a bit weird now but the final piece look much better.

So with the black and white I've played with the saturation to try and create an alienated feeling to the unhumanly tones. But it still feels like something was missing.

Btw I noticed that a man was looking in my direction which really makes a difference in this image, especially cuz all those in the scene said that eyes keep on following them.

Since I felt like something was missing, I added this makeup using photoshop itself, cuz I quite like the appeal of everything.

Yeap... It's a painting on top of a face... but still you might notice that I tried to make it fit the structure of the face somehow.. Like eventhough you can see the strokes and that it exceeds the face by quite a lot.. I didn't just placed it randomly on the face.. I wanted it to look like it belongs there in this strange manner.
