Our idea is based on the issues concerning single-use plastic bottles. They were made to be used temporarily and to be recycled later on. They can't be reused since PET the thermoplastic used to make them helps in the accumulation of bacteria and furthermore it also releases a lot of its chemicals overtime and one can't simply throw them away since they take over 200 years to start degrading so they are a nuisance to humanity even though they are suitable in distributing water around to people for cheap.

Therefore, we thought of redesigning the bottle so that they can serve as a decorative item afterwards.

As our theme we've decided to choose the animal since they are the ones who are directly affected after the environment.

We also thought of a way to encourage the people who already have a collection of these decorative bottles and who want to get rid of them by offering them some vouchers and discounts.

Since plastic seems to affect mostly sea creatures we based ourselves on them, so here is a collection of the designs including one of the endangered turtles who feed on jelly fish and mistakes the plastics as his usual food which afterward kills him.

The collection program will help us to get the bottles back so that they can be recycled easily, the counters to exchange them for the vouchers will be at the malls themselves where the people bought them to make it more easier.

Here's the model for the final product with really artistic caps.

On the front there will be the logo of course and at the back the descriptions and a QR code that will lead the audience to a website where they will be taught about the cause and they will also obtain some info on the animal and how plastic affect each one of them.

We thought of selling the bottles for a higher price because it was proven that people give more value and importance to items that have a higher value but the price won't be too high however to allow all people from all standards to be able to afford it.

Furthermore the people will be offered with discounts and vouchers if they contributes to the cause to encourage them to participate.

And here's our infographic for the project:
