We had this project about wellness, where ID students and GD were to work together and 'reconceptualize' a space to make it more healthy both physically and mentally. We had a limit of 3m by 3m for the space we were to design.

Here's a brainstorm we collaborated on. Most of our group members wanted to focus on the mental part of it.

Then we did a survey to get some responses on what the people want. At this point we were still considering a wide range of workers.

We then start focusing on office workers. Considering they're always in an office working on a computer we knew that there will be room for exploration. Above are our secondary research to reinforce other ideas to come.

Here's some of the responses from our survey on what most workers seek.

Here are 2 sketches I did. The first one is an aesthetic element that acts as both a decoration and a shelf. However it may contribute to people tripping over it.

The second is a table that visually looks like a mountain and the sea. The artificial moss on the table along with the artificial grass will act as a therapeutic item within this area.

Here are some ideas from my group mates, where they tried to add similar therapeutic elements and other element trying to make the office worker more active in their working space. Most of the ideas are focused on Greenery to make it look and feel fresh.

At this point we were told to go back since there was too many different elements that might be good to a certain group of people but not for others.

From our survey we lost all possible interviewee since there was a mistake we made and we couldn't collect their email addresses to contact them.

Therefore we had to find an office worker all by ourselves. Luckily there was my father who was an accountant which was related to the topic and reachable.

However, I didn't interview just him, I interviewed him and one of his female colleagues to make sure that we have a much more accurate response.

Here are the questions I prepared for the interview.

Obviously they were both done on a Whatsapp call, since it's my father. The interviews both took like 20 to 30 mins each.

Here's are the responses I jotted down.

The main issues that I got was that they were not replying with details. So I had to give them examples every now and then so that they elaborate on their responses.

These are the important points they gave, so that you don't have to scroll through my insane handwritting.

Eventually after discussing with the group members we decided to go with these options and I work out on a quick sketch before the ID finalizes everything.

Here's our final outcome while considering mostly the points from the interview rather than the points from the survey since our focus changed to Accountants.

And this is the final piece on the template.
