Today during this co exist class we watched a video about how Graphic Design had evolved from the years, We watched the following video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIj6Nid8ynI&feature=youtu.be

Then we were placed in different groups and we were asked to create a timeline on the advancement that there's been in the design sector. My group had the 1970 era to explore.

We made some further research on our own and then we compile them together and create a our map.

We've added the few steps on how a magazine was made back then, all done manually, some tools used and some name of the methods used. Honestly, it was fascinating to learn how people were doing the work that we now do on Adobe Photoshop and InDesign manually using tools and measurements.

We also talked about the few advancement that happened at that time, such as the Apple II and the first digital camera. We have even added examples of some designs during this age to prove how even though the methods were not advance as what we have now, there were still a lot of famous designs such as the 'I love NY' design by Milton Glaser.

Here's a compilation of all the groups' works.

After that the Graphic Design students from semester 2 gave us a presentation again based on that early age and the development that were made during these days.
