Since the last tutorial I did some experimentations to find the best possibilities.
Since I was very intrigued with that indian painting technique on wood, it's the first that I tried.
The first pic is with Acrylic paint, then I roll it around to try and obtain the design but... well it was a massacre xD.
The second pic has 3 medium in it. The first, it the pale blue and red colors on the right side which is the exact same technique but done with soft pastel, as you can see it just swiped the colors, and turn it pale instead of making any design..... yeay so far my primary idea is working to the perfection....
The second method is the middle red color which is basically just soft pastel without any blending or technique applied to it
The third method is the green. Again it's just oil pastel, no technique applied.
The 3rd pic is the same technique as the very first but with oil pastel....yeap... a disaster.
oh yeah... I did another experimentation by applying a first coat of white acrylic to act as a sealer on this one after I polished it with wet and dry paper
Well.... This one... like... it's divided in exactly 2 parts.. One with a very watery paint and the other a thicker paint. I tried to capture the texture of the crumbled plastic unto the pottery. There was no difference, it was a plain paint, with just one that left a.... bleed since it had more water.
Here, I tried to apply the paint directly to the pottery then stick the plastic to it. In the first image you can see the texture that I was trying to print on the pottery. With this one I did obtain a texture but not the one I was looking for.
Here... I did nothing much just painting it trying to keep the brush stroke at the end as a form of design. This is the only successful experimentation in this series of work. The second pic is a more accurate representation of the effect I was looking for.
And yeah... On this piece I didn't apply any primary white paint to seal the clay but it went very smoothly, without any difference at all.
The first sketch is an.... even more accurate representation of what I was seeking to achieve with the brush strokes. The second sketch is a second possibility of just adding various paint dots to represent the data. The hierarchy of the colors would represent the data.
As an alternative I thought I could use the texture of fresh basil leaves, since in Hinduism, at least from Mauritius, after a ritual they will take a bite of a Basil leaf. Else I thought of taking the texture from a muslim hat.
This is the texture I was looking for from the muslim hat.
Lastly I thought I could glue some Holi to the pottery, which they Indians use in their Holi festival.
These last ideas will be more related to the concept.
