One very interesting thing I found in the book is how he talks about the way the big firms uses technical names to label themselves and make them appeal to the big organizations.

On the other hand, the author did mention that the more money the company has the more strict they will be with the design. Thus, reducing the pleasure in the work and getting sucked up in this life of just executing.

I really like how he also mentions finding an unexplored area to work on. He expresses how he redesign old reggae packaging and that was a blast. But he also mention what I would consider a key work, 'local' old places. He said find old local gardens and working on a design for them might generate a level of interest towards you from these folks who were always conforming to the old design of, in this case, the old garden.

Lastly, I enjoy how he said a designer must work with his intellect and emotions. This will help the work to remain original and full of this energy that will remain in the memories of those who experienced the design. He mentioned being generous and guiding young designers by mentoring them or doing a speech in colleges. Talking of which, he expresses that going to conferences help in gaining more knowledge and making the right connections.
