Task 1.2

For this week we had to come up with a Manifesto based on our believes. Similar to what the things that I said for the GP Define myself, I tried to follow the same ideas however, I did add a few additional points such as how to work in group and treat others well.

We also had a small workshop where we learnt about various brands in Malaysia and internationally. I of course added them all to a bookmark so that I can see if they're offering any internship by any chance.

We then had a small class activity where we had to search for design studios either in foreign countries or our own.

To be honest coming from Mauritius, I thought that there wouldn't be any big design firms. Still, I gave it a try and I actually found 2 good design firm. This one however was more intriguing to me, they had their values and everything very clearly on their website and they also did lots of works for high end businesses in Mauritius which is quite surprising. The other aspect of their business that I enjoyed was that they were Multi-disciplinary. They do mostly 3D designs of hotels or other residentials areas of Mauritius, however they also touch a bit of advertising and UX/UI which seem to be a good choice for me, especially because I always like trying new things instead of doing the same thing over and over again.
