From the last tutorial we were asked to look into the culture and we can target the Muslim of Malaysia to make that change, so I did some research on why Muslims don't like dogs.
From what I found it was never mentioned in the scriptures and in fact the Sahabas (those who've seen the prophet and followed him) had dogs, there is even a Hadith that I found that talks about the dogs, but there are not too many related myth and rules concerning dogs in Islam. So from one article I've read they said that the origin could be just an unfamiliarity with the creature.
There is however another theory called the germ theory which expresses that there was a plague about 200 years ago which was mostly spread by dogs and that's when they were considered to be impure. Dogs are not considered impure only by the Muslims by the way, even the Jews consider them to be ritually impure.
The next thing I found was the Sunni school of thought among the Muslims were mostly known to reject dogs and while discussing with the group members we came to the conclusion that this believe whether true or not is highly believed by the east Asians Muslims and we can't change someone's believes by attacking them, it would been an offense and they won't listen to our research, so we had to reconceptualize our project.
