Catch Your 3D

I kept saying how I was going to make a 3D model of the Vending Machine. So since all the tiny details has been taken care of I jumped right into it.

I took those images as references as well as my Plan B. Since I know I'm not so good in 3D designs, I preferred having an alternative to go to in case I can't achieve it. I chose these images since it's from the Vending Machine Developer I was looking at.

I began by finding a template online.

From there I modified it so that it looks similar to the one Vechnology (the vending machine developer) was providing.

I was also successful in finding some Condom models online and map a Durex packaging on it.

This is the first render I did just to see how everything fits in together.

Another change I made was with the size, since I wanted it to be small enough to fit in a toilet cabinet so that the youth won't feel embarrassed to be seen interacting with a condom vending machine.

I had to do a couple of things to get it to work nicely. I had to remove all the UV Map present since it was spoiled. Then I had to re-project a new UV Map in the exact view I needed it.

After having the views that I needed, I exported the new template and this is what I obtained. An almost perfect orthographic-like version of the design.

I transported it to Ai, and worked on the designs directly on the template. As always with blender you have to delete the template once you have the graphic else it will add that grey colour to the object.

And from there I simply had to connect the 3D design to the graphic I just made, and everything simply falls right where it belongs.

I then downloaded some stock image of some toilets for the presentation.

I was able to add some directly to the image within blender, I automatically gave it a shadow and a reflection of the image which was great. However, I had to play around with one of the image with both blender and photoshop to have it nicely placed within the image. It was crucial to have that last image done no matter what since it depicted the way the design was intended to be used more accurately.
