I went on Wikipedia's list of schools in Kelantan to see which area has the most school. And I found that Kota Bharu seems to have the most schools which a whopping number of 48 schools as compared to the others who had about 20 to 30 schools each. So I ended up choosing Kota Bharu as my main location.

I then used Google Maps to check what's in that particular location since I'm far from there. I was trying to find the main roads, the schools and the malls which the teenagers might go to.

I eventually came to the conclusion that Aeon Mall seems to be the most modern mall in the region, thus being the place where most teenagers might hang out at.

I then explored the nearby roads to try and find possible areas to put a banner. I found many empty roads, where there was nothing but lamps. But then when I reached the main city, there were many places to add to banners. And the roads in the city was much more crowded.

At the same time, I actually had a tutorial with my lecturer who recommended to re-look into the idea of a vending machine. His point was that the teens will still be seen buying condoms from the vending machine, thus it might not be so efficient. He actually recommended I look into the Amazon Locker Delivery service from Japan.

I thus did my research and found out that it could be a good direction indeed.

I actually enquire with Amazon. Sorry, I forgot to screenshot the conversation script on the chat section and I wasn't given the script in my email. But it actually deemed useless since the Customer Service there was only in charge of delivery issues and there was no way of contacting other people from the business, the Customer Service wasn't able to redirect me to anyone else neither.

I researched more and found out that there was no Amazon locker available in Malaysia, however, there was Post Laju that had the Ezibox, which was very similar.

I had yet another problem, which was that there was no Ezibox ANYWHERE at all in Kota Bharu, but I was able to enquire with them and it is possible to request an Ezibox there, and it was free of charge. On the other hand, after reflecting on it, it seemed to be quite troublesome, since with this method I will have to set up an online method of getting the condom and I'll have to educate people on how to properly get their orders delivered to an Ezibox. Furthermore, if the youth are indulging in sexual activities right in time it would be an issue cause they will have to wait and might not be willing to.

I, therefore, enquired with Aeon to return to my initial idea. This one was much smoother. I was able to contact some responsibility of the partnerships and so on with Aeon and got quite some good information. Firstly, I learnt that they do offer partnerships, and they would indeed allow me to place the vending machine there at Aeon Mall Kot Bharu. On the other hand, they refused to give me more information due to their business privacy policies, which is totally understandable.

This one was actually a project that distribute condoms for free. On the other hand, with my project, I believe it's better to go with the paid format since there's quite some money that will be involved in it. Especially if I'm partnering with another business. It will be indeed much better if I partnered with another business since I could use their brand values to help with the reasoning behind the campaign.

I did more thinking about this direction and I realized that I could easily place the vending machine in the toilet cabinets where the youth will have more privacy to interact with it, thus reducing the shame and making the campaign more efficient.

Just in case, I also decided to go online to see the various retail condom prices available online. Just in case I don't get any providers.
