Before this class we had been given a video to watch and learn the basics on how to give any animation some characteristics and definition, basically adding emphasis on the action.

We learnt about squash and stretch, which is mostly used to define the density of an object. Anticipation which is the preparation of the action to prepare the audience. We learnt about staging and we learn how to attract the attention of the audience to a specific area of our composition at specified moments, we learnt about how exaggeration can help on giving more emotions and characteristics to an animation different ways of drawing while animating and when they are the most useful such as straight ahead and pose to pose. We also learned a few other things such as how to make the characters from our animation more interesting so that they all seem to have a personality to themselves and the whole animation don't appeal boring to the audience.

After this when we got in class we used the app Stop Motion Studio from the PlayStore and we had to pair up and make a few animations after we were given some further explanation on the video that the lecturer sent us.

This is just one stop motion I did while trying the app out, it's not our class work but i wanted to share it.

This is another tryout I did before the classwork starts where I tried to apply the things that I learned in the video we watch, the squash and stretch. I wanted to make the cube roll but I made a mistake while taking the shots.

This is the first animation I did with my partner in the class, of course the first thing we tried was simple, we tried however to add some emphasis on the shape but perhaps we should have taken more shots to create a better fluidity in the action of the snake crawling.

We also wanted to try something in 3D, so that's basically a golf scene where the ball end up hitting the camera, this one was quite hard since we had to hold the ball in a way so that our hands won't be seen.

And we tried something a little bit more complex, a man killed by a snake, we tried to make the man look interesting and not just a boring sticky man, we also applied the exaggeration when the man got shock by the snake.

Then we wanted to try something more abstract and apply the squash and stretch a bit more, to make it more interesting we made a ball which got devoured by a cube and which turned into a cube at the end.
