So, we've learnt about Swiss Design during this session and we've learnt about the the impact and influence it had at that time. We were asked to make a blog reflection on this subject.
Swiss Design is very simple and straight to the point, it was very vibrant and involves a grid system whereby everything were perfectly alight either into geometrical shapes or just simple 'flying letters' forming a letter. There was also a high usage of white space.
I tried to find some modern work based on the Swiss design and I found this one; It's a magazine 'Just my Type' by Daniel Barkle
As you can see, everything is perfectly align just like from the Swiss Designs and he uses Sans Serif to further relates to the Swiss Design, he claim himself that he is highly influenced by the Swiss Design.
I think that Swiss Design could be related to Globalization since it exploded in Switzerland but was thence highly used during that time and as you can see from the example above, it is still used even today.
Since I have to design various ads for my project, using the Swiss Design as a reference for some of the ads could be useful
