The Road Further Pt. 1

One project is over but the journey of Design Practice isn't over yet. This subject is divided into 2 part, part one was the animation, and here starts part 2; Exploring Sugar, from my subject matter for the animation I've to expand more and create something else.

Actually everything is based on a concept map, here it is:

I hope it's readable, but basically, my concept map's link were made using colors, so my subject matter for the animation are in a yellow outline and the light blue ones are for the exploring, I haven't posted this research work yet but in the following posts, you'll understand it.

So this is how I got the concept for my animation;

I thought of the derivation of sugar like sweet, honey

Then I've thought of sugar as an image

From there I've got the idea of an optimist, and I've questioned myself about pessimists

Then I've realized that the world is overly optimistic and that it is because of media who influence us with a lot of SUGAR coated stuffs.

And all these were more like..mere thoughts, so I started researching about it, and it was easier to relate it to advertisement and actually I found some articles that explain how it affects our brain.

My research started on some quite basic stuffs, like how it affects culture and stuffs, then I found how it affects the brain in detail, like the strategy behind it to actually cause people to buy the product in question.

It's actually a form of manipulation if you look the details behind it, surely those who invented the method of doing it didn't actually knew what they doing, cuz the research are recent but it's actually really clever, I'll explain it in detail later.

Well, we had to make a presentation, and I did a planning and I thought that it could possibly help if I post the planning here.

This one is actually my proposal but in written form.

This is one...rejected idea but I thought it worth sharing, it's basically an installation with a lot of wonderful posters then in the middle there will be a sort of table with notes on how to conquer the brain, yeah........ you got it........... the reason why I rejected this idea.............
