For my research for the type brief my first idea was about some of the amazing architectures in Malaysia so I went to Pasar Seni where I remembered that I’ve seen a few building with some amazing domes however instead I was kind of disappointed when I saw them from close, since they all looked the same and I couldn’t associate any story to them. However, what caught my attention instead was the abandon places along the way which were filled with vines, very greenish. And I’ve noticed how still they were so I thought of basing my type brief on the fact that these buildings are like a wastage, I wanted to relate it to animals and show that it somehow destroy their habitats.
After a few reflections and a few discussion with the lecturer, I came to a conclusion that in Klang Valley there’s only cats, dogs, ravens, pigeons and some reptiles and therefore these abandon place are like shelters to them. These animals don’t really need to live in the forest, however they need a place far from the vehicles and the other dangers caused by man.
So my project was now based on these abandon places being shelters for these animals.
Here's some of my calculation and decisions
